This weekend was all about hanging out with my best friends, chill out & little bit party! ๐Ÿž So our weekend already started on Thursday, when we traveled to my hometown – Kuressaare to visit GinFest, and then on Sunday, we had a camp party in Pรคrnu, where we finished our nice getaway, #puhkaEestis.

Midsummer ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Midsummer or St. John’s Day, Jaanipรคev as it is known in Estonia, is one of the oldest local celebrations. Late June is the perfect time for a holiday in the blooming nature where days extend into nights, with barely any darkness in sight.

For us, Estonians, Midsummer is pretty important. It is the longest day of the year & it has been celebrated for a very long time with different traditions. Most common ones are probably that young lovers wander through the forest looking for a lucky fern flower said to bloom only this night. And that if you find the glowworm, you may expect a great fortune! ๐Ÿ”ฎย

As you might think then almost for three months no traveling at all. Nothing. No where. Only bedroom, bathroom, kitchen.. Quarantine routine much, eh. Well, alright of course some strolling around the forests has been made, but that’s kinda all..

BUT at least I managed to finally go to my home island, Saaremaa, last week, to visit my family. Wohoo! ๐Ÿฅณ ๐Ÿ™Œ
